Microsoft is now focusing on Windows 11 (and soon on Windows 12). However, many users still stay on Windows 10 by choice or because they do not have the required configuration. However, the operating system is not eternal and the end of support will eventually impose itself.

In this regard, Microsoft recently announced that Windows 10 will no longer be entitled to new features until the end of its support scheduled for October 14, 2025. In other words, only security updates will continue to be deployed. . So there will be no more new features. However, this announcement has just been contradicted by the upcoming arrival of a new version.

Windows 10: Microsoft still has some new features in stock

A new version of Windows 10 has just been invited to the Release Preview channel. Version 19045.3030 includes a few new features – albeit minor – but which have the merit of existing. The optimizations concern the search box on the taskbar and the display of priority toast notifications. The update also includes various and various fixes.

Once tested, these adjustments should arrive soon on the stable version of Windows 10. We can therefore assume that Microsoft will continue to deploy small improvements here and there to improve the user experience. Unless it’s a last stand for Microsoft developers before simply providing security updates?
