Schlager star Michelle (50) was brazenly stolen in Spain – with a really bad dog trick!
“My purse was stolen from the car,” Michelle reported via Instagram.
“I stood in front of my car and had the sliding door open because my dog Maggy was on a leash outside. I was standing at the door, someone came and asked me what kind of beautiful and sweet dog that was…”
Michelle was robbed in Spain. Two witnesses saw everything. “They called the police for me,” the singer said
During Michelle is distracted, “someone opens the driver’s door and I didn’t notice it,” said the 50-year-old.
She is currently traveling all alone in Andalusia with her motorhome, visiting friends.
The thief steals her purse. Money, ID, driver’s license, all papers are gone.
“I find that very sad. I keep asking myself where the good in people is,” laments Michelle.
Michelle: “Sometimes I’m just too trusting”
When BILD reaches Michelle on Monday, she is still stunned.
“This is the first time I have had such a brazen theft, but it will certainly be the last time. Sometimes I’m just too trusting and if someone is nice to my dog, I’m nice to him too,” said the hit star.
“I was just wondering why the guy was talking so loud. The reason was simply because he wanted to drown out his accomplice who was stealing my bag from the car on the other side. I had almost 1000 euros in it, that was my entire travel budget.
A truck driver noticed the brazen theft and drew the singer’s attention to it. “The bag was under a dog blanket on the passenger seat and I would have driven on without noticing the loss,” Michelle told BILD.
“The witness kindly accompanied me to the police. I was told at the precinct that this stealth with distraction is a popular trick with thieves around the area. Behind it is a gang of crooks known to the police.”
Michelle was lucky in misfortune.
“Because according to the police, they don’t shy away from violence,” says the 50-year-old. “I should be glad they didn’t get physical. Then they showed me photos of criminals and I immediately recognized the gangster in one of them.”
He and his accomplice are now being searched for.
The singer to BILD: “I hope to see my money and papers again. But what is more important to me is that nothing happened to me.”
