Today during the press conference “La Mañanera”, the President of the Mexican Republic shared details about the mayan train when questioned about the National Guard and its forestry work.

The Mayan Train in 2023
According to what was said by the 4T administration, the tests of the Mayan Train will begin in July 2023. These will be carried out in the Mérida-Cancún section. “We are going to inaugurate the work in December, although the trial period will begin in July in a section,” the President said yesterday.
The wagons manufactured in Ciudad Sahagún, Hidalgo, will be delivered on that date, so their use is already estimated.
The President also announced that one of the tasks of the National Forest Guard will be to punish clandestine felling of trees in reserve areas. “We are addressing this and we have fought this crime a lot, and we are very attentive”, said the President, “There we are, it is one of the good things that the Mayan Train has.
