A woman was injured in an accident in Witten on Tuesday evening. For reasons not yet known, she lost control of her car. She drove over a traffic island and then crashed head-on into the facade of a commercial building.

The accident was right at a bus stop. Fortunately, there were no other injuries, said a police spokesman on Wednesday morning when asked. The property damage caused by the accident was considerable, said the spokesman: the police estimate 38,000 euros. The woman’s Hyundai was no longer drivable after the accident and was towed away.

Car crashes into house facade – at a bus stop

At 7:50 p.m., the police and fire brigade were called to Ardeystrasse. The car crashed into the clinker facade of house number 27 next to the passage to the bonus center at the bus stop, the police reported. A 68-year-old from Witten was behind the wheel. She was driving from Crengeldanzstrasse in the direction of Dortmunder Strasse when she suddenly got off the road with her car.
