When asked what the most absurd headline she has ever read about herself was, Melissa Naschenweng doesn’t have to think long. “I complimented a man and he looked very similar to a former friend of mine,” reveals the pop singer. “I just say what I think, and I’m known for that,” she continues. “Then I said: You’re a smart guy, you look like my ex. And then it was written: Naschenweng’s notgeil appearance on TV”.
Melissa Naschenweng doesn’t understand that a compliment was made for such a big thing. “If a woman is not allowed to compliment a man and a man is not allowed to compliment a woman, then what are we in the world for? That we walk?” she asks, shaking her head.

That’s why her latest single “Kompliment” is so important to her: “A lot more compliments should be given.
