The coronation of Charles III “stands as a testament to the enduring strength of the British monarchy, a symbol of stability and continuity,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen tweeted.
“My congratulations to King Carlos III and Queen Camila,” he added, in a message accompanied by photos of the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, in which he was present.

China advocates “development” and “peace”
In his congratulatory message to the new monarch, Chinese President Xi Jinping called on London to pursue a long-term strategy for “peace” and “cooperation.”
“China and the United Kingdom, both permanent members of the UN Security Council, should take a long-term and strategic approach to promote the historic movement towards peace, development and win-win cooperation,” said the president. Chinese, quoted by the official Xinhua news agency.
“China is willing to work with the UK to enhance the friendship between their two peoples,” Xi added.
Germany celebrates a climate ally
On a visit to Kenya, the head of the German government, Olaf Scholz, applauded the coronation of a monarch committed to defending the environment.
