The House of Paper has forever marked the history of Netflix in France. The Spanish series which was entitled to five seasons was a huge hit, but above all revealed many new faces. We can for example cite Álvaro Morte, alias The Professor, then seen in the series The Pier And The Head ; Jamie Lorente (Denver) who played in Elite And El Cid, or even Pedro Alonso who will reprise his role as Berlin in a spin-off expected at the end of 2023. But THE star of the series was obviously Úrsula Corbero. Revealed in the teen series Physics or chemistry, the actress broke the screen in the role of the robber Tokyo. Two years after the end of the series which made her known worldwide, she is back in Devoured by flames on Netflix. In this series, she plays Rosa Peral, a police officer involved in the murder of her companion. The fiction is adapted from a terrible true story that occurred in Barcelona in 2017. And surprise, in the series available since September 8 on the streaming platform, Úrsula Corberó plays opposite another actor from The House of Paper.

This actor is Jose Manuel Poga. If his name may not mean anything to you, his face will necessarily be familiar to you: he embodied Cesar Gandia In The House of Paper. The latter, a former soldier, was taken hostage by the robbers and wanted revenge at all costs. It is he who is responsible for the death of Nairobi and who takes Tokyo hostage. In the final season, it is to escape him and save her friends that Tokyo sacrifices herself by detonating a bomb. If the two actors played sworn enemies in The House of Paperthey are now a couple in Devoured by flames : José Manuel Poga plays Pedro Rodriguez, Rosa’s companion who dies at the start of the series. In an interview with Photograms, the actress who is in a relationship with Chino Darin confided that she loved finding her former partner in this new project… and teasing him. “It was very fun to see José Manuel Poga, who is the one I worked with the most, in a role so different from that of La Casa de Papel. We joked a lot! I told him, ‘I’m still killing you, darling!’“, she said.
