Xbox Series games are struggling to convince at the moment and Microsoft is losing some of its luster. But the next Xbox Showcase could change everything.

Xbox Series games are missing. Players are starting to lose patience, failures and postponements follow one another… The recent failure of Redfall, big games from Arkane Studios, the multiple postponements like that of the long-awaited Starfield for example, do not reassure fans at all. It’s not very good, even for the Xbox Game Pass which, from the start, has made big day one releases its main argument. Moreover, during the Xbox Showcase last year, Microsoft had said that the games presented would be available in a maximum of twelve months. This was also a strong argument for selling Xbox Game Pass. Unfortunately the rest, we know it.

Starfield has been pushed back to September (for now) on Xbox Series and PC, while Hollow Knight Silksong is several months behind schedule. The promises are therefore not fully kept. And obviously, Microsoft would be perfectly aware of it.

Two big events and highly anticipated Xbox Series games

According to the well-informed Jez Corden (yes, him again) spoke at a recent podcast around Xbox. According to its sources, the Xbox Showcase on June 11 should be very very rich in announcements. Big Xbox Series games are expected once again, including many exclusives, but not only. We are thinking in particular of Hellblade 2, STALKER 2 or even Forza Motorsport, for example, which know how to be late. This very large Showcase should last about two hours. Starfield as for him, he will have the right to his own presentation the same day, just after the big Xbox showcase. Here too the livestream would be rather long.

Microsoft changes strategy?

Two very big events therefore, which should give us a glimpse of some of what should happen on Xbox Series. However, unlike last year, there would be no question of promising mountains and wonders. Jez Corden claims that a portion of the featured games would not be released within 12 months of the event. So we shouldn’t have any promises this time around.

This news also means that we should see, or see, games that take their time. Like for example Fable 4, whose development is obviously progressing very well or why not Gears 6 which is already the subject of many rumors.
For now, we can only speculate. But we will know for sure by June 11 at 7 p.m.
