Xiaomi should update its line of mid-range cell phones soon, with the Civi 3 model. New information about the smartphone was released by the Xiaomiui portal, with aspects of performance, cameras and more.

Mentions of the device were found in MIUI internal codes, with details such as its firmware. A version of the operating system aimed at the Civi was found with the sequence V14.0.3.0.TMICNXM, reaffirming that its release should be close.

The device is expected to have a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor as the main performance component. For comparison, the Civi 2 features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, along with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

It was also said that the model should bring a “large and high-resolution” display. The current Civi 2 has a 6.55-inch OLED panel, with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The device may have two 32 MP cameras on the front, with an ultrawide assisting the main selfie camera to frame more of the environment in photos and videos, and features such as face detection and improved performance in dark environments. At the rear, the device should arrive with a 50 MP Sony IMX800 sensor.

The device’s construction should house a 5,000mAh battery, with support for 67W wired recharges. It should bring Android 13 as the operating system, along with Xiaomi’s typical MIUI interface.

The device’s software version number indicates that it will be presented this May, and Xiaomiui reported that it could arrive on May 30th. However, it should not be officially sold outside China, as is already the case with current models of the Civi line – it may end up arriving under another name, as happened with the Civi 2 that was launched on the global market as Xiaomi 13 Lite , with few changes.
