Yankees manager Aaron Boone fired after mocking main umpire (Video)

The New York Yankees are not going through a good time and all that frustration was reflected by their manager Aaron Booneafter his team’s loss five runs to one against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.

The Yankees manager ended up ejected from the game in the eighth inning after angrily claiming the strike that umpire Lazaro Díaz called shortstop Anthony Volpe. Boone put on quite a show around home plate.

At a certain point in the discussion he began to trace lines with his finger on the ground just to the right side of home plate. to try to explain the pitch placement, and immediately after imitated Diaz’s strike call.

The manager understands that today as never before, his job is at risk, as the Yankees find themselves at the bottom of their division and racking up losses against teams that have already raised the white flag during this year’s schedule.

58-55 is the Yankees’ current mark, so they only have a six percent chance to make the postseason, Aaron Boone is falling into despair.

Boone has six ejections this season, tying David Bell for the most among Major League Baseball managers.

Boone’s acknowledgment

At the end of the game, the leader stated: “In fact, I heard Anthony’s pitch was a strike, maybe. I just think there was a lot of pitching like that all night, culminating in DJ (LeMahieu), a couple of pitches in his turn when he struck out with runners on the corner.”

The New Yorkers have an alarming offensive drought and against the White Sox they finished the night 12-1 with runners in scoring position and left 13 runners on base. The Bombers loaded the bases in the second, sixth and seventh innings with one or fewer outs and could only score once.

“It’s up to us to get out of this rut,” Boone acknowledged. “We had our chances tonight. It has nothing to do with the umpire. We have to capitalize”.
