The Technical Council of the law School from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) determined convene the Ethics Commission to analyze and determine the consequences of the alleged plagiarism of the undergraduate thesis of the Minister Yasmín Esquivel, especially acting as an academic for Martha Rodríguez, director of the degree work.

The analysis of the academic situation of Professor Martha Rodríguez will be carried out during the first meeting of the Technical Council of the Faculty scheduled for next Monday, January 9.
Through a press release, the university collegiate group indicated that, in the extraordinary session on January 9, it established that elements must be studied and provided to clarify the factsTherefore, the Ethics Commission will be the one that will resolve the case.
Said collegiate body It will be made up of five directors.which will have the responsibility of analyzing, venting and resolving in an “expedited manner” the disciplinary process regarding the professor of the Faculty of Higher Studies (FES) Aragón, but who graduated from said educational entity.

“The Commission will begin its work immediately. and in the next few days it will issue an opinion that it will present to the Plenary of the Technical Council, who will adopt the resolution to define the situation of said academic in this Faculty”, it was possible to read in the statement that was issued via social networks.
Finally, it was notified that, in compliance with the agreements made by the College of Directors of Faculties and Schools, the Technical Council appointed a Special Commission, which will review and propose modifications to the Regulation of Professional and Graduation Exams of all colleges that grant degrees.

The college met on January 6 following a call by the rector of the UNAM, Enrique Graue, in which it was approved that have specialized computer programs (software) in plagiarism detection as a degree requirement, prior to the authorization of synods.

This Monday’s meeting took place after the Law School Management reported that would analyze the case that became mediaticin the middle of the vote for the presidency of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), in which the member of the Superior Chamber participated, but who was left out in the second round of voting.
