The Dortmund fire brigade rescued an “uncooperative” squirrel on Easter Monday. The animal stuck helplessly in a manhole cover.

Animal sweet use of the Dortmund fire brigade on Easter Monday: A squirrel got stuck in a manhole cover on Niederhofener Straße in Hörde. Only the head and front paws looked out of the narrow hole – the “rest” of the animal hung down in the gully.

Exciting animal rescues by the Dortmund fire brigade:

A walker had it Squirrel found around 2 p.m. The animal neither advanced nor retreated on its own. The helper tried to free it from the lid – but all attempts failed.
