The first mixed relays of the season will offer high entertainment value, in both the single mixed and the mixed relay there is no obvious favorite as Norway spares its star skaters.

Johannes and Tarjei Bø, Sturla Laegreid and Marte Røiseland are in charge of Sunday’s mixed relays. This opens the competitions to other nations.

In the single mixed relay, Sweden, Austria, France, Norway and Switzerland fight for victory in the race. Here, safe shooting is decisive, and there the Eder-Hauser duo can be a hard-to-beat combination. Sweden goes with Samuelsson-Persson, France with Guigonnat-Jeanmonnot, Switzerland with Hartweg-Baserga and Norway with the Christiansen-Tandervold duo.

Finland goes with Tuomas Harjula and Suvi Minkkinen. Here, the national team leadership has invested in safe shooting in the relay. Finland is fighting to get into the top ten.

Mixed relay a battle between five nations

In the mixed relay, it can be an even battle for victory. Norway, Italy, France, Sweden and Germany have, on paper, fairly even lineups. Here the women’s stages will be decisive as you drive 4×7.5 km and the ladies ride the last two stages. Here, France, Sweden and Germany have slightly stronger skaters than Norway. Italy has experienced Wierer and Vittozzi on the anchor stage and is definitely in if the men hold their stages.

Finland participates in the relay with the quartet Jaakko Ranta, Olli Hiidensalo, Mari Eder and Nastassia Kinnunen Here, a place among the top ten could be within reach
