Things are not going well at Chelsea. The English club is in a deep crisis. Last weekend, the Londoners suffered a devastating 4-0 defeat in the FA Cup against the Citizens. Now there are even calls for ex-coach Thomas Tuchel.

On social networks, fans sometimes take a sharp stance on Chelsea boss Todd Boehly, who ended Tuchel’s tenure in 2021 despite the Champions League triumph. However, a return is questionable.

Tuchel was only released as a coach at Chelsea on September 7th. A day earlier, his team lost 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. An embarrassing defeat. And things weren’t looking any better for the Londoners in the Premier League at the time either. The “Talksport” moderator Simon Jordan is now publicly questioning the fact that Tuchel was only fired for sporting reasons.

Boehly confidante Jordan makes cryptic hints about Tuchel

Accordingly, much more had happened behind the scenes than had previously been made public. Jordan, the former owner of Premier League club Crystal Palace and Boehly confidante, now hints at much more serious reasons for the Chelsea boss’s dismissal of Tuchel.

Specifically, it’s about Jordan’s statements in a “Talksport” show, which seem pretty cryptic:

“There was a lot more behind the scenes at Tuchel that would bring tears to most people’s eyes. It wasn’t just about losing to Dinamo Zagreb, it was a whole bunch of other things.”

What exactly is behind it, he does not reveal in detail. After all, it’s Boehly’s thing. However, the motives of the decision-maker were clearly understandable for the moderator. At least that’s what another hint on the subject suggests: “It opened my eyes and I would have done exactly the same thing as Todd Boehly.” In addition, according to his own statement, he would have said to Tuchel in such a situation: “You can go, buddy.”

Fans demand the return of Tuchel – Potter’s successor crushed

The reason for bringing up the topic again was the reaction of some fans to Chelsea’s gossip at the weekend. In the stadium, the fans celebrated the former coach and chanted: “We have great Thomas Tuchel.”

Not exactly pleasant for Tuchel’s successor, Graham Potter. He showed understanding, but was obviously also crushed. “The frustration of the fans is understandable,” he said. It is obvious that the club is not in a good phase at the moment. “There are always different opinions and criticism because the results were not positive. We have to stick together and keep working,” he said.
