A viewer called us desperate because her car insurance was canceled by mistake.

Ms. Vilma Ramos said that when she received a check from her insurance company in the mail, she thought it was a refund or credit, and deposited it. But then she got another one.

Apparently, in March he added his grandson’s car to his insurance, but “they had changed my policy, and I was making my payments under the old policy, not the new one.”

Not receiving payment for the correct policy number, Infinity, his insurance provider, canceled it and told him that getting a new policy would now be much more expensive.

He says that what bothered him the most was that, although they offered him the basic insurance required by law, they told him that it would not be in his name.

“That they were going to put it in my grandson’s name, because because of my age they couldn’t give me insurance,” said Ramos.

After investigating, Hammer insurance was able to get Infinity to agree to reinstate Ms. Ramos’s policy, and they assured us that the matter had nothing to do with her age.

Through a statement they expressed that “the insurance industry is going through very difficult times. “After two days I already had my insurance renewed! I thank God! To Azalea and Telemundo, who solved my problem”, Ramos said, adding “I can sleep peacefully, because yes, imagine being without insurance? It can’t be done”.
