Players can now use the popular Nintendo Switch Yuzu emulator on their Android devices.

The software is in the early stages of development and the requirements are relatively high, requiring a Snapdragon 865 platform or higher and at least 8 GB of RAM.

The developers of the Nintendo Switch Yuzu emulator have announced the software for Android. There are two versions: final and early access. The second uses some experimental features that may make it into future releases, but asks for a payment.

As Yuzu for Android is in its infancy, it will only work on certain devices. On the official page, users will be able to find more details. So far, only cell phones with Snapdragon 865 or higher and at least 8 GB of RAM memory will run, in addition to the Android 11 operating system or another newer version.

Developers promise to support more devices when Yuzu for Android is optimized. Users interested in helping the development or who want to follow the process can follow the official Discord page.

Unfortunately, only a few games run on Yuzu for Android right now. Popular titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild struggle to exceed 20 FPS even on more powerful devices like the Galaxy S23.

Recently, the developers showed off the newly released The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom running on the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro. Already some older Zelda titles manage to reach 60 FPS. Yuzu for Android also supports PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch controllers.

The procedure to bring Nintendo Switch games to Android requires a modified console and the “dump” of “prod.keys” to the phone’s storage.
