Zurich has only recently been the scene of the crime scene-Row. Inspectors Grandjean (Anna Pieri Zuercher) and Ott (Carol Schuler) have been investigating there since 2020.

The scene: Zurich
Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland. It is located on Lake Zurich, which also played a major role in the first episode of this crime scene series.
Zurich is one of the cities with the highest quality of life in the world. The culture and landscape in and around Zurich is special: on the one hand, the city with the largest train station in Switzerland is an important transport hub. On the other hand, the city with the surrounding rural regions is considered a resort.

Commissioner Isabelle Grandjean
► The role: Grandjean was born in French-speaking western Switzerland. Her mother tongue is French. The determined inspector completed a law degree during her time at the police academy. She then worked at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. She has a son who lives with his father in the Netherlands.
Grandjean is an emancipated woman who is often lonely due to her ambition for the job. Her principles and values are sacred to her. She is committed to justice at work and in her private life.
The actress Anna Pieri Zuercher
► The actress: Anna Pieri Zuercher has been seen in the role of Commissioner Isabelle Grandjean in Zurich’s Tatort since 2020. The Swiss actress has a degree in piano and acting. In Paris and Geneva she worked as an actress in various theaters. Since 2004 she has also appeared on television. Zuercher has been married to cameraman Pietro Zuercher since 2016.
Tessa Ott of Kommissar / Profiler
► The role: Tessa Ott is a trained case analyst and, like her colleague Grandjean, has a law degree. She also studied sociology and psychology, where she discovered her passion for profiling.
Tessa Ott was born into an influential and wealthy Zurich family. However, she hardly identifies herself with it, she has a strong urge for freedom and often questions her privileged life.
Because of her background, it is speculated that Ott only got her job as a police commissioner in Zurich through her parents’ connections. That’s why she has to work hard to gain recognition from her colleagues. Like her colleague, she has a strong sense of justice and hopes to be able to make a difference through her police work.

► The actress: Carol Schuler is a Swiss actress and singer. Since 2020 you can see her in the role of Commissioner Tessa Ott in the Zurich crime scene. She discovered her passion for acting early on: she had her first performance at the age of 5. She has been a film and television actress since she was 12. She is also successful as an actress in Germany. Schuler lives in Berlin.
