Former minister Cristina Garmendia, new president of Mediaset

Cristina Garmendia Mendizabal was born in San Sebastin (1962), she studied a doctorate in Molecular Biology at the Severo Ochoa National Center for Molecular Biology. To complete her training, she made a MBA from the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra.

Professional life

She is currently the president of the non-profit foundation COTEC, whose mission is to promote innovation as an engine of economic and social development. At the same time, he is part of advisory boards such as those of Unicef ​​and the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC)in addition to being present on the boards of several Spanish universities.

As an independent director, she is also part of the boards of directors of Caixabank and Grupo Logistais a proprietary director at Capital Partners and a member of the European Commission Space Advisory Council.
