They find two bodies in the search for two missing women

GUYMON.-Two bodies were found in a rural Oklahoma county the day after four people were charged with murder and kidnapping in connection with the disappearance last month of two Kansas women, according to authorities.

The two bodies found in Texas County will be taken to the Coroner’s Office to determine their identity and manner of death, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a statement Sunday night.

Veronica Butler, 27; and Jilian Kelley, 39, of Hugoton, Kansas, were driving through the northwestern panhandle of Oklahoma to pick up Butler’s children from a birthday party in Kansas on March 30, but they never arrived. His vehicle was later found abandoned on a rural road in Texas County, Oklahoma, about 11 miles (18 kilometers) south of Elkhart, Kansas, on the state line. The area is located about 260 miles (418 km) northwest of Oklahoma City.

Texas County police asked the State Bureau of Investigation for help, which said its officers immediately suspected foul play due to undisclosed evidence found at the scene.

Oklahoma authorities said Saturday they had arrested and charged four people with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
