The second Lego Challenge as part of the MINT campaign exceeded all expectations.

RANKWEIL. For the second time, the MINT Region Vorderland am Kumma, in cooperation with the market town of Rankweil and as part of the “On the road with fathers”, organized the Lego Challenge in the Rankweil club house. “The demand to participate was huge. Unfortunately, we had to turn some people down, the event was completely sold out,” says MINT coordinator Norbert Preg. Around 130 master builders between the ages of five and 80, that was thirty families from all over Vorarlberg, put together fascinating works of art from the fifty sets available. In eight days, the 150,000 Lego components were put together to form the appropriate structures. Great praise goes not only to the master builders, but also to the Rankweil employee Iris Loacker and MINT Vorderland am Kumma coordinator Norbert Preg for the perfect organization and professional handling of the special spectacle during the day and at night. Citizen Service Rankweil Director Natalie Wojtech and Municipal Councilor Helmut Jenny congratulated the young and older artists for their unbelievable skill and marathon work at the big Lego show in front of a large audience and showed them great appreciation. “Children rarely have the opportunity to build such large and professional Lego sets, especially since they are quite expensive and take up a lot of space. With our Lego Challenge and the building sets we have borrowed, we can fulfill the wishes of young and old Lego fans in a sustainable way. Technical understanding is promoted in a playful way,” says Natalie Wojtech. For forty hours of construction time, the families had the opportunity to create their own model. The Jäger family from Rankweil completed the largest set, the “Titanic”, with a total of 10,000 parts in just 25 hours. As a second work of art, Oliver and Jonas Jäger assembled the Cheops pyramid with 1500 building blocks. Visitors could admire other imposing buildings such as Hogwart Castle (6020 parts), Real Madrid Stadium (5876), the Gardens of Ninjago (5685), Diagon Alley (5544) or a Liebherr excavator (4108).VN-TK
