A new video shows off an ambitious Elden Ring mod that crosses FromSoftware’s open-world epic with the open-world Pokémon games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Elden Ring has proven to be a great success for FromSoftware since its release earlier this year, and modders have helped maintain fan interest by creating various mods for the game.

There have been many mods of Elden Ring, but the game has also received official content updates. In fact, Elden Ring recently added a PvP DLC that finally opened up the Middle Lands coliseums. More extensive DLC expansions for Elden Ring are rumored to be on the way as well, though Nothing official has been announced on the matter from FromSoftware.

As fans patiently wait for more official content post-launch, they can count on modders to continue producing unofficial content for the game. This would include the recently revealed modde Pokemon which turns Elden Ring into a full-scale Pokémon-themed adventure.

The mod makes the Tarnished look like a trainer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, while Torrent is swapped out for the Legendary Pokemon Koraidon. Various Elden Ring enemies are also swapped out for various Pokémon from the Paldea region.

Players face off against all sorts of enemies, from the popular Lechonk to Fuecoco’s intimidating final evolution, the Fire/Ghost-type Pokémon Skeledirge. The mod even puts Elden Ring’s walking mausoleums to good use, placing Pokémon Centers on top of them.
