A violent assault that occurred in the last few hours in the town of Arana brought the residents out into the street, where they expressed their concern about the pressing situation of insecurity in that sector of the City and analyzed what measures to adopt to achieve that the authorities take urgent action on the matter.
“We do not give more. There were four commando-style assaults in 13 days. Crazy,” said a woman who lives in the area.
It was learned that the spontaneous meeting did not involve police authorities, although today several frontists would have planned to approach the police detachment of the jurisdiction in search of answers.
The case that set off the alarms happened on 143 street between 618 and 620.
According to what this newspaper was able to learn, the attack took place at a property in the “Fincas La Armonía” neighborhood, in which a man and his adolescent son were tied up and beaten.
Always according to sources close to the fact, everything happened on Thursday around twelve at night.
“They stole two cars and a lot of suitcases loaded with belongings,” the same spokespersons said, adding that the victims “are finishing moving.”
Within the framework of the fear that learning about a new criminal episode always arouses, many recalled that, in another recent one, a neighbor “had a bullet put in his mouth” (see separate).
The entire neighborhood is in full urban expansion. “It’s a pity that robberies and very violent ones are also growing,” lamented those who spoke with EL DIA.
A nightmare
Last Friday, December 30, at nine o’clock at night, another extreme episode was recorded at 143 and 605.
There they had the owners of a house reduced for an hour.
In the middle of that nightmare, a woman was locked in a room with her two-year-old daughter and her husband in another.
The criminals beat the couple and the man, in addition, they put a bullet in his mouth, threatened to castrate him and give him electricity.
He was also stepped on and kicked several times.
There were five assailants with ski masks, boots, gloves and night vision goggles.
They also carried long and short weapons.
It all started when the owner was watering the plants in his home’s garden and was surprised by four strangers, who caused him millions in losses.
Without preamble and, showing their firearms, they began to issue serious threats to break the will of the victim, who was still holding the hose in his hand.
“We come for the dollars,” the thieves clarified before deploying an entire arsenal of psychological torture. While he and his wife were being questioned, two others began to search the house.
In that violent raid, the thieves managed to find the victims’ savings.
Not satisfied with the 4,000 US dollars and 100,000 pesos they had in hand, the criminals decided to go for more and seized a laptop and a cell phone.
With everything in their power, the subjects left the scene and, despite a tour carried out by the Police, their whereabouts could not be found.
That is why it is suspected that they had external support, which quickly took them out of the area in a vehicle.
