During the last hour of last night, a man was detained in Ensenada after being accused of murdering Gabriela Cameli, the woman found dead in the canal that runs parallel to Avenida 66, 600 meters from the mouth of the river.
Police sources confirmed to this newspaper that the 46-year-old suspect was the victim’s partner and that when he was arrested, they seized rat poison.
They also seized the white Volkswagen Fox car in which Berisso security cameras saw him on December 23 near where the body was found.
Although everything is under investigation, spokespersons also confided that a cell phone was kidnapped and the investigators in this context point out that the person involved had inconsistencies and contradictions in his story.
The apprehension was carried out by agents of the Berisso Departmental Station, supported by the Scientific Police.
