After several years of absence, the trend of bomb threats seems to have returned to the region and This morning the Carlos Vergara school was forced to interrupt classes after activating the explosives protocol following an anonymous call. The notice put the authorities on alert when the school day was just beginning and for this reason the students were prevented from entering until the explosives experts could carry out the rigorous tests.

As it was revealed, a crew of specialists from the Provincial Directorate of Explosives quickly arrived at the scene and deployed an operation that included the use of trained dogs, after which it was determined that everything was a false alarm.

After completing the search, classes could be resumed normally. Justice, for its part, began an investigation for the crime of “public intimidation” to determine who or who were the authors of the call.

Bomb threats were a constant for several weeks in 2019, disrupting classes almost daily in an exorbitant number of schools across the region; and that same fashion seems to have returned now. The threat at the 4 and 36 school has a recent precedent and that is that a similar event occurred last Wednesday at Berisso Middle School No. 1, where the directors of the institution were forced to evacuate the place as a result of another false alarm.
