A 16-year-old adolescent drowned this afternoon in the waters of the Piray Guazú stream, a town in Puerto Piray, while he was cooling off in the company of his father and other people.
He was identified as David Ezequiel Cáceres Delgado, who, according to witnesses, disappeared from the surface shortly after entering the riverbed.
According to the first inquiries, around 3:00 p.m. the victim was swimming with his father and other young people in the mentioned stream, when at a certain moment he asked for help by submerging himself in the water and not coming out again.
Minutes later the body was found floating by other people who were in the place also trying to appease the intense heat of the day.
The police doctor who examined the body determined that the death was due to suffocation by submersion. By order of the Eldorado Investigating Court 1, the body was handed over to his relatives.
The Puerto Piray Police Station, the Scientific Police and the police doctor worked on the site.
