A woman Kidnapping victim in Florida escaped from the dog cage in which she was foundand his testimony led to arrest of the four alleged captors.
The victim, in her 40sfled from the cage in the backyard of the house in which he was, and began knocking on the doors of neighbors asking for help.
For the facts, they were arrested: Monica Latresis Reed, 37; Cortez Jackson, 39; Kevin Holmes, 21; and Damon Tromp, 19, reported on Sunday FOX News.
The suspects were accused of armed kidnapping with intent to commit a crime and unlawful imprisonment with a weapon, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
In Reed’s case, she faces an additional charge of aggravated assault. with a weapon for allegedly striking the victim in the cheek with a pistol while held captive.
“The manner in which the weapon was used could have caused serious bodily harm or permanent disfigurement,” read the arrest document cited by the chain.
The complaint adds that Reed and the other three suspects confined, kidnapped or imprisoned the victim against their will for the purpose of inflicting grievous bodily harm on her or terrifying her.
“This was done by the defendant to obtain information from the victim, i.e. the address of the victimregarding a possible stolen item,” the document states.
The alleged attackers allegedly duct tape was placed over the victim’s mouth, hands and feet.
Subsequently, Jackson, Holmes and Tromp physically restrained the woman inside a car when he tried to escape. Then, The affected woman was located in the dog cage in the backyard of the house from Reed.
It is not clear how the female managed to get out of the cavity in which she was held captive.
Agents from the aforementioned county arrived on the scene on Saturday afternoon. after the woman knocked on the door of a house in Barnett Place, Pine Hills, asking for help.
