On Sunday, a police officer was injured during an operation after a fight in Bregenz.

A fight broke out at a gas station in Bregenz on Monday afternoon. Three people fled before the police arrived. A 32-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman known to the office, both from Bregenz, were found in Prälatendammstraße and asked to stop.

When questioned by the police, the man immediately reacted extremely aggressively. He yelled at the officers and gestured wildly with his hands. Since he did not stop his aggressive behavior despite warnings, he was arrested. He hit an officer in the stomach with his fist and kicked the officer in the head. The officer sustained bruises to his head and elbow. The unruly man had to be handcuffed and anklecuffed.

Suddenly, the woman tried to prevent the arrest by throwing her body at the officers. She also had to be handcuffed and anklecuffed. Both were taken to the Bregenz police station and released after the facts had been clarified.
