After Spain's victory, when and where will the next FIFA Women's World Cup be?

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup was historic.

The tournament not only featured 32 teams for the first time, but also had games in two different countries.

Australia and New Zealand combined to become the first joint hosts of the Women’s World Cup. Each of the event’s eight previous tournaments was held in a single country.

But for the US women’s national team, it was historic for all the wrong reasons. The USA lost to Sweden via penalty shootout in the round of 16, making it the team’s earliest exit from the tournament in nine editions. All previous tournaments resulted in a medal, either gold, silver or bronze.

Now, however, all eyes are on what lies ahead for the team. Should the United States rebuild its squadron further? Should there be a change of address? There are several questions, but the country cannot seek revenge until the next tournament.

So after Spain’s victory over England in the 2023 Women’s World Cup final in Sydney, Australia, where will the next Women’s World Cup be? Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming Women’s World Cup.
