The first week of 2023 is coming to an end. I hope you had a good start in 2023? Unfortunately, New Year’s Eve was often overshadowed by a few black sheep, especially in larger cities, which I also had to witness in downtown Hamburg. But we all certainly hope that 2023 will be a better year than 2022. The technology industry started at full throttle, because the CES 2023 in Las Vegas had a number of announcements ready.

For example, Jackery presented the 1500 Pro and 3000 Pro solar generators. At the moment there are quite a few manufacturers riding the wave of balcony power plants, battery storage or generators. I myself looked more at various new TVs, because the technical data of many devices is exciting to read. There is the new OLED flagship from Panasonic, the MZW2004. TCL has again announced that it intends to release its own QD OLED TVs this year.

Samsung is already further ahead and presented its second QD-OLED generation in the form of the S95C and S90C. Here, the South Koreans want to have significantly increased the luminosity again. However, LG also certifies the latter for its new OLED TVs, some of which rely on a micro-lens array and can therefore also become significantly brighter – with increased efficiency.

But not everything revolved around TVs. Nvidia this week brought the GeForce RTX 4080 to GeForce Now for increased performance as part of the new Ultimate subscription. Those who subscribed to the RTX 3080 will receive an automatic upgrade. The Ultimate tariff is priced at EUR 19.99 per month or EUR 99.99 per six months. The servers will be migrated this month.

Worth knowing: Since January 1, 2023, you no longer pay sales tax when purchasing photovoltaic systems. However, this does not necessarily lead to better offers, because whether the dealers pass on a price advantage to you is at their discretion.

And last Sunday? Caschy took a look at the Nebula Capsule 3 Laser, a handy projector for on the go. I, in turn, contributed my personal top games of 2022 for both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 over the weekend. And if you’re in the mood for a little off-the-mainstream music – as always at the end of the year, I’ve put together some music tips again.

On behalf of the whole team, I wish all readers a great rest of the Sunday and hope you have had a good start to 2023 so far! As always, I wish you a good start to the week tomorrow! Caschy, Benny, Olli, Felix and I are happy if you continue to look into the blog and maybe even leave a comment. However, there will be many more articles to read on the blog as the day progresses. Finally, here are the ten most read articles of the last week.
