AI to turn dubbing upside down
It has been several decades since dubbing in the cinema has made it possible to enjoy many films in one’s mother tongue. Very useful for children or simply for those who do not speak English well or do not want to rack their brains, it does have one drawback: lip tuning. The profession of dubbing actor is not an easy task and among the prerogatives, it is necessary to adapt its text, its speed and various variants to best stick with the movement of the lips of the original actor. It’s a whole job of adaptation and that’s what also visibly makes the charm of the job. It is in any case what one can commonly hear in the various interviews of French actors.
This is where the company Flawless comes in, which is developing a brand new technology, aimed at revolutionizing and simplifying lip tuning.
