Travelers can expect more affordable fares for the upcoming summer season, with a large travel supply starting as early as April and peaking from June to September.
This price drop is largely due to increased competition between companies, particularly following the announcement of detailed offers by a French competitor. Travelers are also eagerly awaiting the announcement of the National Maritime Transport Company’s travel programme, although the latter did not provide any further details on the date of disclosure.
In a press release published on its official website, the national passenger shipping company informed its customers that its program for the summer season will be unveiled soon.
The announcement comes after full details of the summer cruise program from Marseille were revealed by French competitor Corsica Linea, which kicked off sales about a week ago, sparking strong demand among travelers from various European countries, in addition to France. In addition, the French company announced an increase in the number of Algerian ports served, with the addition of the city of Skikda from April 24, in addition to the ports of the capital and Béjaïa.
With an increase in the number of crossings, prices, in accordance with the law of supply and demand, should be revised downwards. Finally, to succeed in having fairly competitive prices, the national company must therefore align and lower its prices at the risk of seeing its sales impacted.
Summer season: what is the program offered by Corsica Linea?
The French company has set up a travel program for the summer holidays, with destinations in Skikda and the port of the capital. For Skikda, two trips are offered in June (17 and 26), five in July (3, 10, 17, 24 and 31), four in August (7, 14, 21 and 28), and two in September (the 4th and 11th).
For the port of the capital, the program includes four trips in June, then 14 in July, 13 in August and eight in September. Details of this program are available on the company’s official website.
Algeria Ferries: the summer program soon to be revealed
Algérie Ferries has announced that it is about to unveil its summer shuttle program for the coming season. Although the company has yet to release specific details, a social media post published on Thursday, February 16, 2023 confirmed that Algerians will soon be able to schedule their holidays with Algerie Ferries.
