A number of employees of Algeria Post across the country have gone on strike, according to a publication posted by the Algerian Consumer Protection Organization (APOCE), on its Facebook page.

According to the same source, the strikers have several demands, which include an increase in the wages of all postal workers, the implementation of the administration’s promises to grant each worker two days off, equality and an increase in the value of the individual and collective compensation allowance, an increase in the annual compensation bonus for all postal workers and the payment of the “Covid-19” bonus.

The strikers, who declared that this strike is unlimited, also demanded freedom of association with the constitution of a union as stipulated in the constitution.

APOCE denounces this surprise strike

The APOCE in its publication announcing this surprise strike by employees of Algeria Post, is concerned about the fate of the citizen and the fact that he is not informed in advance.

Also noting that a strike on a Saturday for postal centers is penalizing for citizens, who take advantage of Saturday to carry out their operations. By also specifying that each employee has the right to claim his rights, but without violating the rights of others.
