You are currently viewing Amira Pocher: No radio silence! That’s what she says about Olli’s birthday letter

On September 28, 2023, Amira Pocher will celebrate her first birthday as a single after her marriage to Olli. He gave her an emotional letter to which she is now responding.

It is her 31st birthday, which Amira Pocher celebrated as single again on September 28th for the first time in years. Oliver Pocher, 45, shared an emotional letter to the birthday child in the early hours of the morning. The day on which his wife, long-time friend, partner in crime and mother of his sons celebrated her birthday deeply touched the otherwise defiantly funny comedian.

Amira Pocher: After the letter she “had to come to terms first”

Oliver Pocher shared ten photos from seven years of love. These include pictures of their wedding, silly snapshots behind the scenes of TV shows, vacation photos and previously unpublished pictures from the Pochers’ family album. Her two sons, who have Amira and Oliver in common, also find their place in the posting more visible than ever before. It becomes clear: Amira’s birthday moved Olli deeply. In a letter that he began with “Dear Amira,” he sent his wife “probably the last time” public congratulations on her birthday.

In a new podcast episode that the Pochers published on September 29th, Amira reacts publicly for the first time to the otherwise ironic comedian’s posting. Because: The duo recorded the episode on the day of Amira’s birthday. “Then I also read very, very beautiful, emotional lines from you and then I had to…yes. Come to terms with it. So, so much for that,” says the 31-year-old. She finds it extremely difficult to talk about this special gift.

Oliver Pocher: “I have failed as a spouse”

“Now I’m sitting alone at home without you. What a year you’ve had. Unfortunately, last year I didn’t manage to give you what you hoped for from me,” he begins his lines. So far, no reasons for their separation have come to light. Olli’s letter to Amira lets her fans take a look behind the scenes of the divorce. “At some point the point came where you no longer felt love for me. Where the happiness of the family, health and a fulfilling job were no longer enough to make you happy. That’s where I failed as a spouse.”

He himself had the feeling that he was “strongest” as a team with Amira. And still have to realize: “Feelings are just not reality (…). I would have liked to have remained your partner by your side for a long time, but accepting that is the most difficult part of the end of this relationship for me. I understood it painfully and will (have to) accept it.”

Olli hopes for his Amira: “Maybe someone will make you happier”

Oliver wishes his wife “all the best” for the next year of her life and that Amira “will find what you are looking for in your new year and phase of life.” He keeps to himself what exactly is important to the birthday child. “Maybe someone else will do it better and make you happier. (…) Our two wonderful boys will remind us of what we once loved about each other.”

They are words that not only affect Oliver himself. After just a few hours, the post received countless comments from users who could relate to his pain. “You love her …,” notes Anna Heiser, 33. Ex-“Bachelor” Andrej Mangold, 36, sends Pocher longer lines: “Very genuine and lovingly written. To be honest, I would have liked you in this form and, above all, publicly never expected, even stronger. I hope the pain goes away and you soon see why it should happen like this. All the best to you and see you soon. (sic)”
