“No way, friends and friends: I tested positive for Covid-19. It is not serious. My heart is 100 and since I had to suspend the tour, I am in Mexico City and from afar I celebrate the 16th birthday of Jesús Ernesto.
“I’ll save myself a few days. Adán Augusto López will lead the mornings, see you soon,” the President tweeted in his account at 3:27 p.m.
AMLO was on tour in Mérida and had a breakfast scheduled that he no longer attended.
After leaving his hotel and traveling to the military base where the meeting would take place, he canceled the activity and took a military plane that suddenly returned him to CDMX.
Although the Presidential spokesman Jesús Ramírez tried to deny the reports that the President had suspended his visit to the Mayan Train works due to some health condition, it was the President who through his message on social networks reported that he had tested positive for Covid .
In the morning, the Diario de Yucatán reported that AMLO had suffered a heart problem but did not specify the discomfort.
Unlike other communications when he has been ill, the President did not release a video but in his tweet he stressed that “my heart is 100%”.
