Karisbon Andreas Rönnberg, 39, continues as head coach for BK-46’s men’s handball team. The new contract runs until the end of the 2024–25 season.

Andreas “Gea” Rönnberg has coached Karisklubben’s men’s team in the FM league since autumn 2019. Under Rönnberg’s leadership, BK-46 has won a league gold and three cup championships.

Signing the contract was an easy decision to make, says Rönnberg in a press release from BK-46.

“I enjoy working both with the squad and with the association,” he says.

The set-up for the coaching job is the same as before.

“The goal is to have as good a team as possible that can challenge Cocks for the league title and also play outside in Europe. Hopefully the older, important key players in the team will continue for a few more years, otherwise it could be challenging,” he says in the press release.

Rönnberg adds that the club should work hard to bring in new and young players.

The club chairman is satisfied

Roger Roos, who is chairman of BK handball, is pleased that Rönnberg will continue as coach of the men’s team.

“He has done a good job and from the association’s side we would like to see him continue. Creating stability and that way getting a representative team that is powerful is a long-term project. It also benefits our junior work,” says Roos.
