Anno 1800 receives update 17. The developers at Ubisoft Mainz are currently preparing one playtest to let users test the improvements and stability optimizations under real gaming conditions. “There are still some issues that we want to iron out, including of course the bugs you reported such as the anarchist quests, problems with the music or with the AI’s aiming behavior – all of this is planned for said update,” the developers wrote Announcing the update in January.
Playtest starts mid-February
Concrete information about the upcoming playtest is now available. If you want, you can currently apply for the Register for the test phase – and put the patch through its paces before release. “The Jubilee Patch is our upcoming free game update, which not only contains a large number of bug fixes and improvements, but also additional quality-of-life adjustments and new features,” comment the developers in one current blog entry. During the test phase, which will take place from February 16th to 19th, participants should examine the new features, improvements and the general stability of the update.
Update 17 is supposed to fix a number of bugs
With the update 17, among other things, the Anarchist Quests, the Barbecue Quest and the Initiation Quest in Anno 1800 (buy now €39.95 / €53.99 ) Fixed. There are also bug fixes for the flamethrower monitor, AI attacks on civilian buildings near the coast, and incorrect behavior of the ticks on cultural buildings. Ubisoft Mainz adds: “A large number of bugs have already been fixed and will be included in said playtest version, so it is particularly valuable to get feedback from those of you who have been affected by these issues.
In the coming week, the developers want to randomly select “a few hundred players” and send out the invitations. It should be noted that participants who have been drawn must sign a non-disclosure agreement. Sharing information and gameplay with the public is therefore not permitted during the test phase for Anno 1800 Update 17.
