Fraudulent rip-off apps are also increasing in Apple’s App Store.

Despite Apple’s checks, new fraudulent apps are constantly making their way into the App Store. A new trick is that the fraudsters pose as well-known companies and deceive Apple using fake websites and the like.

Apple’s testing too superficial

Apple usually only checks the newly registered company accounts by calling the number provided – which belongs to the fraudster. After verification, they upload their fraudulent apps.

Users ripped off with fraudulent apps

Users then download the apps and are ripped off with expensive in-app subscriptions or other tricks. Data is also sucked out and more.

You can’t help yourself, but it helps to check every download carefully.
