Aston Martin has ready who will drive its car by 2025

SILVERSTONE-. The Canadian pilot Lance Stroll will continue to compete with Aston Martin in the 2026 season, the team confirmed on Thursday Formula 1.

While they did not elaborate on the extent of Stroll’s control, the team said the deal “will see Lance compete in the new era of F1 regulations” — which begin in 2026.

“I’m happy to have committed to continuing with the team in 2025 and beyond,” said Stroll. “There’s a lot to look forward to in the future.”

Stroll finished 10th in the drivers’ standings last season and his best result was fourth at the Australian Grand Prix. This season he sits 11th ahead of the Austrian GP and his best result was sixth, again in Australia.

The extension means Stroll and Fernando Alonso, 42, will remain together for their third and fourth seasons. In April the two-time F1 champion signed an extension with Aston Martin for another two seasons.

GASLY WILL CONTINUE WITH ALPINE

Driver Pierre Gasly also signed a multi-year contract extension with the Alpine team.

In a statement on Thursday, Alpine said the deal “will take Pierre into the 2025 season and beyond.” It did not provide further details.

The 28-year-old Frenchman is in his second season with Alpine. After a difficult start to the year, he has scored points in his last three races before the Austrian GP.

Last season he finished 11th in the drivers’ standings and his best result was third place in Holland.
