At the head of this infrastructure, a scientist named Dmitry Sechenov, inventor of a revolutionary substance that changed the face of the 20th century and enabled the deployment of a range of assistant robots driven by artificial intelligence, the objective being to free the population of manual labor to enable it to flourish in the arts and sciences. But this idealized society is about to get out of hand when the authorities validate the invention of too many, a tool supposed to allow people to control this network of AI by thought. Victim of a sabotage, this technology then goes completely into a spin and the robots begin to attack furiously all that resembles a being of flesh and blood within the personnel of the research lab.

The player embodies P3, a highly qualified agent dispatched by Sechenov to settle this small internal incident and restore the network. Initially perceived as a simple FPS with a strange artistic direction, Atomic Heart claims to be an action-RPG strewn with combat, of course, but also free exploration between the different connected areas of the complex, punctuated by puzzles and a cinematic narration. The protagonist is assisted by a partner AI integrated into his glove which provides him with information and objectives.

On the action side, the game does not seem to refuse anything and presents an assortment of melee weapons tinkered with the means at hand, Dead Rising style, as well as firearms including shotgun, Kalashnikov, electric pistol and launcher. pomegranates. Added to this are the abilities of the special glove which, even if they are undoubtedly based on scientific ideas, have the value of magical powers. All this arsenal can be improved provided you search each room to find the necessary resources.

Sold 60 euros on PC and 70 euros on consoles in its standard edition, Atomic Heart will also be available in Gold and Premium editions including the Atomic Pass. The latter will include four DLC opening access to new areas and laboratories to explore as well as new weapons, enemies, bosses “and more“, we are told.
