Martin Lawrence was born in Germany – and made a career in Hollywood. Now the “Bad Boys” star is getting a tribute on what is probably the most famous sidewalk in the world.

Los Angeles – “Bad Boys” star Martin Lawrence has been immortalized on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame”. The 58-year-old actor and comedian unveiled the 2753rd plaque on the famous sidewalk on Thursday (local time). Comedian Tracy Morgan (54, “30 Rock”) paid tribute as a guest speaker.

With his popular sitcom “Martin,” which ran on US television from 1992 to 1997, Lawrence paved the way for many colleagues into show business, Morgan said. In addition to Morgan, the show also starred Chris Rock, Garrett Morris and Tisha Campbell.

Lawrence was born in Frankfurt in 1965, the son of a US soldier stationed in Germany. In addition to his TV career, he appeared in films such as “Do the Right Thing” (1989), “House Party” (1990), “Boomerang” (1992) and “Big Mama’s House” (2000). After “Bad Boys – Harte Jungs” (1995), he shot two more episodes of the action comedy about the police duo Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett with Will Smith.
