Bandai Namco will ban anyone who plays the hacked version of the Tekken 8 beta from their tournaments

The second test of tekken 8, held last weekend, already has a cracked version of the game. Although it is playable without a time limit, Bandai Namco warns that those who do so violate their code of conduct and they can be permanently banned from participating in official title competitions.

In a statement this week, the company stated that continuing to play the trial is a violation of their terms of service. In addition, they warn that the unauthorized downloading or distribution of the game is illegal. The most recent tests have been carried out on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

“It is important to note that any player who has accessed the Closed Beta (or CNT) without authorization may be excluded from the upcoming Tekken World Tour and other official tournaments. We highly value your cooperation in maintaining the fairness and competitive integrity of our competitions.“adds the developer.

Bandai Namco warns of the consequences of playing hacked Tekken 8.

Bandai Namco’s message about unauthorized access to Tekken 8 is primarily aimed at professional gamers. This is because, by having early access, they can gain unfair advantages with tactics and insights over other competitors.

Before its official release, Street Fighter 6 faced a similar situation on its PC version. Although Capcom provided a demo of the game, the cracked version of the Closed Beta became popular by offering early access to more fighters and stages.

At the moment, Tekken 8 does not have an official release datebut it is expected to arrive at the end of the fiscal year ending in March 2024. The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 and is expected to launching simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
