Washington DC.- The President of the United States, Joe Biden, said this Wednesday that he plans to visit his country’s border with Mexico during an upcoming trip that is currently being organized.
Biden is already scheduled to travel to Mexico City on January 9 for a two-day visit, where he will meet with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“That is my intention, now we are finalizing the details,” Biden told reporters during a trip to Kentucky.
The northern border has seen a massive increase in migrants, even as the United States kept a public health law in place that allows US authorities to turn away many people seeking asylum in the country.
Migration will be one of the priorities on the meeting agenda.
