Senator Scott calls for a strong sentence against spy Rocha and restoration of sanctions on the Cuban regime

MIAMI.- The re-election campaign of Florida Senator Rick Scott denounced that Joe Biden’s government would be sending “hundreds of thousands of uninvestigated immigrants” to the state of Florida, through the ‘humanitarian parole’ program.

Will Hampson, a spokesman for Scott’s election team, stated that “while Joe Biden and the Democrats claim that the crisis at the southern border is not their fault, they are simultaneously sending hundreds of thousands of unvetted illegal aliens to Florida, as part of a program that they themselves created.”

The statement puts into context an investigation by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), which reports on the approval of “direct flights from abroad” with immigrants who arrive in places like Florida, through “airports that the Department of Security Nacional refuses to publicly identify”, within the framework of the ‘humanitarian parole’ program.

Florida, main landing zone

According to data from that organization, “Florida turns out to be the main landing and customs processing area in the United States for this direct parole flight program, with almost 326,000 of initial arrivals from its beginning until last February.

“Many of these illegals are flying into (former) Congresswoman (Debbie) Mucarsel-Powell’s backyard in Miami, and yet she remains silent, too afraid to call out her own party for its disastrous policies,” he said. Scott’s spokesperson.

According to CIS, “public knowledge” of the destination of those flights should be important to local, state and national leaders, “in cities struggling with the influx of migrants, who could use the information to financially plan their care or request the federal government to stop the flights.”

The program that benefits migrants of nine nationalities, according to CIS, would have allowed “306,505 beneficiaries, mostly Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans, to fly to the jurisdiction of the Miami field office” in fiscal year 2023 and until February 2024, to which are added another 19,490 travelers processed in Tampa in that same period.

“The border crisis will not end until Democrats like Biden, (Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro) Mayorkas and Mucarsel-Powell definitively withdraw, because they have shown that they do not have the backbone to put the people of Florida ahead of illegal aliens. and the United States,” Hampson added.

Scott vs. Mucarsel-Powell

The mentions of Mucarsel-Powell in this statement are because the former Democratic congresswoman is challenging Scott for his position as one of Florida’s two senators in Washington in the November general election.

The former representative, who has launched strong criticisms against Scott around issues such as abortion and reported millionaire donations to her campaign in recent days, got lower numbers in a USA Today pollwhich shows her below the Republican senator between 36% and 26%.

Scott’s narrative and his campaign around immigration in the country, and particularly in Florida, is related to the position of Governor Ron DeSantis, whose administration has promoted measures to exercise control over irregular migrants in this state, under the premise that the southern border is in chaos due to President Biden’s policies.
