The Tschagguns elementary school took part in cleaning the hallways with the children

The children of the Tschagguns elementary school all took part in the community-wide floor cleaning, which will be carried out by the local associations next Saturday, April 29th. Beforehand, the children and their teachers walked certain routes, such as the cycle path in the Au or the area around the school, the Cresta car park or the aqua park next to the “Alta Gme” and diligently collected rubbish. The kids were amazed at what is thrown away. “Why do people always throw their cigarettes next to the bin?” Ben asks in first grade. A question that his class teacher unfortunately cannot answer either.

“The cleaning of the hallway is an important point in the annual events and serves to deal with waste consciously,” says director Manuela Wolf. “In addition, the children really learn in practice what it means to separate rubbish, what goes where and, above all, the awareness is raised not to just throw objects indiscriminately onto driveways or sidewalks,” Wolf continues. In any case, the elementary school students took part with great enthusiasm and were happy about “their bulging garbage bags” at the end of the campaign.
