HOUSTON – The authorities of the city of Texas City issued an order to boil the water, after chemical tests did not exceed the minimum quality requirements.
“As an extreme precautionary measure, we have issued a boil water order for the next 24 hours,” the city said in a public statement.
Texas City said they are cleaning the pipes and will retest again before lifting the order.
If you don’t want to boil your water, you can use bottled water for brushing your teeth, drinking, washing dishes, and preparing meals.
