A new lawsuit accuses state Sen. Kevin Parker of rape.
A woman named Olga Jean Baptiste filed the lawsuit.
She claims Parker assaulted her when the two were working on Haiti relief efforts in 2004.
Baptiste claims the senator asked if the two could meet at her apartment to choose photographs and talk about work, before forcing her and taking her to his own room.
The lawsuit was filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Law, which allows victims of sexual abuse to file suit after the statute of limitations.
The deadline to file this type of lawsuit ends on Thursday.
Parker has been in office since 2003.
We tried to contact a representative for Parker, but they say the state senator has no comment at this time.
