Miguel Ángel Contreras Sáenz, 27, is in serious trouble with the law after taking his wife naked out into the street because he allegedly did not receive $200,000 Mexican pesos that he asked the woman’s mother to free her, since He was holding her against her will, Brownsville police said.

But if this were not enough, the man is also accused of having threatened and beaten her on several occasions. After a week had elapsed without receiving payment of the money, the defendant allegedly took her out into the street without clothes. The woman later went to the authorities to report the man.

Contreras Sáenz was arrested on June 14 in Olmito, Texas, during a traffic stop because there were five arrest warrants against him. Agents of the Brownsville Police and US Marshalls participated in his arrest.

Now Contreras Sáenz faces a $100,000 bail

Once apprehended, the man was transported to the Brownsville City Jail and arraigned this Thursday, June 15 for aggravated assault (2 counts), battery, unlawful detainer, and terroristic threat. In addition, he was given a total bond of $100,000.

The Brownsville Police Criminal Investigations Unit was then informed that Saenz has an active warrant for his arrest in Mexico for homicide.
