This is what is happening for Nadjia Remana Loiselle, a 45-year-old Quebecer of Algerian origin who lost her husband Guy Loiselle, 69, and her only son Antoine, 11, in a fire six months ago. more precisely on June 30th and who finds herself destitute. Added to all this drama is a veritable bureaucratic and administrative journey of which she sees no end.
Faced with these hazards, Nadjia Remana testifies to the Journal de Montréal, and gives them her unfortunate story.

Nadjia Ramana, this Algerian who lost everything

The Algerian, according to the Canadian media, burst into tears explaining her suffering. She claims she lost everything with the death of her son and her husband and all she does is cry. The woman returns to what seems to be her daily life: the paperwork.

First, we must return to this traumatic fact, Nadjia had to face a real tragedy. Her son and her husband lost their lives in a fire. She saw the house burn, while the two were stuck there. She was able to escape by jumping from the 2nd floor, and despite burns and smoke poisoning, she survived. A chance that Antoine and Guys did not have.
Indeed, even if she was able to call for help “we would have prevented her from finding her family”. Following the events, she fell into a coma and did not wake up until a few days later, without a son, without a husband, and without a home.
In this fire, Nadjia definitely lost everything: her family and her home.

After the sentence, a test awaited Nadjia

As previously explained, the fire reduced the woman’s home to ashes. In this one she lost everything, including her documents. She is therefore asked for papers “that she does not have”.

She explains that it was her husband who took care of the administrative aspect and the paperwork, and that she therefore found herself lost between “the estate, her husband’s debts, home insurance, evidence, bills , the police investigation. It’s not for lack of trying, Nadjia even asked for help from acquaintances who made the same observation: it’s a dead end, and endless road.

Her nephew, named Malik, who came to help her testifies to Nadjia’s distress. He explains that “It slows down his mourning”. Indeed, as if the deaths of her loved ones weren’t hard enough, she must also face endless procedures accompanied by an exhausting bureaucracy.
