Car crash with children on board causes chain reaction that affects pedestrians at SEPTA stop

A shocking accident left two people at a bus stop injured, one of them seriously, and four adults and two minors, in two different vehicles, with injuries, on Sunday night in North Philadelphia.

The event took place between North Broad Street and Erie Avenue at about 11:30 pm at night.

According to investigators, the two vehicles collided and after the crash one of the cars ended up on the sidewalk against a SEPTA bus stop.

Everyone in the incident was injured in one way or another, but one of the pedestrians waiting for the bus is in critical condition at the hospital.

So far the cause of the accident is unknown, but everything remains under investigation.

Erie Avenue was closed while the investigation and evidence collection work was carried out, but it has since been reopened to regular traffic.
