Carbon monoxide continues to wreak havoc as the winter season arrives. Poisoning by this colorless, odorless and toxic gas struck again this morning. Indeed, the civil protection services of the wilaya of Ghardaïa recorded 04 deaths following this accident.

Thus, the 4 victims, belonging to the same family, were found dead in their home in the town of El-Atteuf, located north of the wilaya of Ghardaïa.

According to the press release from the civil protection services, it is a man, his wife and their two children. This tragedy comes on top of a heavy toll that the civil protection services recorded during this year.

CO poisoning: the drama of Ouargla

Home accidents related to carbon monoxide poisoning have, unfortunately, become commonplace during the winter. Characterized by dizziness, muscular impotence and loss of consciousness, these accidents are the specters of Algerian families in winter.
